Week 7, Day 5 Incinerator done. I'm a bit sad about this one ending as I really liked this workout, but I won't be doing this again. Today was the last day it was on the classic program of P90X3 and that is a shame, but there are other upper body workouts within in the program. I just really liked this one though. I feel my shoulders, chest, back and arms which is good, but I also feel tight from the workout which I know is just my body's code for you killed it today. My triceps are sore in a weird place on my arm close to the elbow, but not quite there. No matter where or what is sore, this workout really does put that much needed stress on those upper body muscles.
Tomorrow is MMX and then Dynamix and then on to transition week. I have to say after looking at Block 3 I am going to miss this block. I don't have Complex Upper or Complex Lower, so on weeks 9 and 11 I will be using The Challenge and Total Synergistics. Weeks 10 and 12 use Eccentric Upper and Lower. The combinations that they put together for Block 3 is interesting. I am intrigued by how they put them together, but I will not alter anything at all. I will just stick with the plan as it is laid out. Including next week, I only have 6 weeks of work before I am done. It seems impossible to be this close already, but time just flies.
I have 13 days until my Day 60 pics and measurements and I am pretty excited. I know I will show results and I know I have a lot more to do. This is not a sprint, it's a marathon. You have to train for endurance not for quick bursts and in life you need to be able to endure over time. That is the only way to change your life and keep it that way. If you train yourself like it's a sprint, you lose weight and then since you have no endurance you are done and the old lifestyle will creep back in. To endure is the goal, without regard to injury or life's circumstances that would somehow impair you're ability to maintain your workouts. Really, for most of us, it's not the working out that is our big issue, but our nutrition. Working out is part of it, but abs are made in the kitchen. If you maintain your nutrition throughout everything, you can start or stop working out as you need to based on what is going on in your life. The fact that you maintain a healthy nutritional level will keep you from gaining a lot of weight if you are unable to exercise regularly. When you can exercise, then you do and do all you can. Pushing yourself is the only way to be better. So get to it!
